IC İçtaş Construction Continues to Expand in Romania

A global leader in infrastructure development, IC İçtaş Construction has signed another major railway contract in Romania, further expanding its presence in the country. Following the award of Lot 4 of the Craiova–Caransebeș railway modernization project in June, the company has now signed a contract for the construction of Lot 6 of the same line. The Craiova–Caransebeș railway is a strategically important project supporting Romania’s integration into the European Union transport network. With the addition of the new contract, valued at approximately €420 million, IC İçtaş Construction’s total project portfolio in Romania has reached €880 million.
Continuing to strengthen its investments across Europe through a steady pipeline of new projects, IC İçtaş Construction plays a key role in the modernization of the Eastern Mediterranean Corridor, part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), under the management of the Romanian National Railway Company (CFR SA). Having secured a second contract within the Craiova–Caransebeș railway modernization program, the company aims to contribute to the development of a modern, safe, and efficient railway infrastructure while supporting sustainable mobility and enhancing Romania’s integration with the European Union’s transport network. With the signing of the €420 million contract for Lot 6, IC İçtaş Construction has increased its Romanian project portfolio to €880 million, further reinforcing its position in the European infrastructure market.
